Happy New Year!

I got a new Jeep Liberty yesterday. My other car was damaged, and repairing it would cost too much, so I just got a new one. Pictures will be posted soon. I also got a new computer for Christmas that I haven't set up yet.

Aidan was happy. He got the Ratchet and Clank game he wanted, a Tony Hawk skateboard, a keyboard (the kind that plays music), a gameboy and a bunch of other stuff...He also enjoyed having his Mama around...

Had a great time in Detroit. Went to the Hard Rock and a cool musuem and just hung out etc...

Going to a party at Michelle and Glenn's tonight. Should be a good time.

Aidan will be moving to Texas to live with Shanna at the end of March or beginning of April. The plan right now is that I'm going to try and get a remote assignment or short tour with a follow on back to Europe. Once that happens, then he'll come back to live with me again.

OK, I'm not feeling much like writing right now...

I was watching Sreen Savers and CFH today, when I realized how much I miss them having Chris Perillo on the show. Sure he was geeky, but the guy was smart and never talked down to anyone who called in asking for help. I noticed Leo will be doing a Call-for-Helpathon this year, but it probably won't be as good as last years.

My house is straightened up more or less, and I'm on vacation, so now I have time to read, and take a nap...Then I'm going to meditate for a few hours about the new look of my web site.

Oh yeah, and I have to rescind my previous comments about not going anywhere. I'm taking off on the 26th to do Detroit's "8 Mile in Two Days" whirlwind tour. I hope to see the sheet metal factory and maybe catch an impromptu rap off. Actually I'm meeting a friend up there and where going to the Hard Rock and some other places. I just got the urge to do a road trip, and I've never been to Michigan...

Went to Bonnie and Rey's yesterday. Had fried turkey for dinner. It was good. The gravy from a can sucked though... Aidan had a good time in the hot tub. He got a toy truck that pulls at ATV, so he was happy. Karen and Jeff also got him a really cool new jacket.

I've decided I'm not taking any road trips for Christmas. I'm going to use the time to study for my MCSE test, and maybe see a couple of movies I've been wanting to go to. I need to save the money anyway. I'm close to paying off all my bills, and I want to achieve that goal before I create new bills. I also want a new truck this summer after I find out where I'm going to next (if I decided to stay in...Which right now it's looking like I will).

I'm planning on moving to N. VA in the Spring until I PCS. It's a big place in Annandale in a nice neighborhood. The logistics of getting Aidan to daycare will be rough in the summer, but once he starts kindergarten things will be good again. I'll also end up making some pretty good money by moving off base.

Also on Aidan's wishlist...

Chiapet and the clapper are both planted firmly near the top of his list... Poor kid.

I'm feeling dehydrated, so I won't type much...Need water...1 more day until Christmas vacation...

Wow, has it been that long...I thought I was actually doing good with keeping this thing updated. Not much new to report here though... Had our organization Holiday Party today. I wasn't completely impressed, but still had a good time. Had a good time last weekend at Glenn and Michelle's...Drank some good wine. More presents and cards arriving every day..I just sent mine out today, so be on the lookout. I included a picture of me and the boy with each.

Hooters Airline...Where do they come up with this stuff? I can't wait until the foiled hijacking attempt because the terrorist fell in love with the flight attendant. It has the making of a Fox movie of the week...Does Fox do that?

OK, my eyes are soar...I've been reading Return of the King so that I can be prepared when I see it in the theatres next week.

Got a Santa hat for Aidan to wear tomorrow. I have a slight cold that I tried sweating out on my exercise machine. I feel a little better, but still some chest congestion. I'll probably take some nyquill tonight when I go to bed. Aidan is probably going to stay at Wynne and Brian's tomorrow night while I go to the party. I'll probably crash at Glenn and Michelle's so that I don't have to drive.

More presents arrived today. I'm running out of excuses for Aidan. Less than two weeks until Christmas though...He's very excited about seeing his Mama.

Gotta go monitor the chaos in the bath....

My site of the day is this one...Brought to my attention from my peeps(my spell checker doesn't do ebonics, so I hope I got that right) in Motown.

Another slow day at work. December is our low time...Very soon though I need to start making the decisions about where I would like to be stationed next, or if I'm going to get out... Currently I don't desire any one place over the other, so I guess Buddha would be proud. Just need to flip another coin and decide the rest of my life....

Things that don't go in the dishwasher...

Found out that measuring cups are not a good thing to have in your dishwasher...if they hit the heating element..they melt. They melt and they smell, and they make you think your house is burning down...

Switched Aidan's bedtime to 8. Since it's 8:08 and he's currently trying to sneak down the stairs, I don't think it's going very well....

I'm off to bed myself, because for some reason I feel really drained right now....

Just a little off the top

Aidan got a hold of some scissors today while I was doing dishes. I may have to cancel our photo shoot for Saturday. I don't know if I can get the damage reversed enough to have pictures done. We'll see though. Poor little guy told me he wanted a haircut like mine. I'm still not sure how he managed to find the pair of scissors though...
